so i read this book once that you should read if you haven't already called To Say Nothing of the Dog by connie willis, and there are victorians, and one of them is a vapid girl who at one point exclaims, "O! I simply adore the Albert Memorial!" and that's why i simply adore the albert memorial. but, like, seriously. you like victorians and you like gaudy night and you are in england -- no matter how many other books you need to read, you need to read this book. although maybe you already have, and that's why you even photographed the albert memorial in the first place.
I think this thing is revolting!! Its the very epitome of too much! Its gaudy and...I could go on and on. And I said so, didn't I?! Thanks for a good day, L, and hopefully we can do it again in the years to come!
